Is Cricket hindering the progress of other sports in India?

No sport is popular in India other than Cricket.  Cricket is treated like religion  in India. It was brought by British, so it has became a tradition. So no one can change this. It is not in Olympic but the organisation which organise cricket  in India is very much influential, powerful and wealthy.
The organisation  has hindered the progress of other sports including Football. People does not want to see other sports. So the organisations of other sports are very weak. They can't invest much for the progress of their sports.Young generation does not want to look after other sports  because they think that other sports are not famous and don't have much money  which could sustain their life. This is also a big problem. Like, an Indian parent does not want to make their children footballer.  India has organised under 18 FIFA World Cup which is a big achievement. I think it brought some changes but the Cricket World Cup that happened next year neutralized the changes.
Olympics is not  a big event in India. No one know the players of other sports. They only remember their names for the civil services examinations which take in India every year. Also government does not spend much  money on other sports which is also a big issue.
But for  a developing country like India, it is also not possible to spend much money on other sports. Before India doesn't become much advanced  enough, there is no way that other sports can grow in India. Even global sports like Football  is only famous in North East and some parts of India. But after all it is in the hands of Indians of which sport they like  or want to see. Till they want to see cricket  there's no way for growth of other sports in India.

There is a Filet around his head perhaps all that is left of a once detailed hairdo or hood his hair is combed back. He wears an arm band and a uniquely designed shroud. There is no proof that ministers or rulers governed Mohenjo-Daro and we despite everything don't have the foggiest idea who the sculpture spoke to a minister or a ruler or just a prestig
