What is Bhastrika Pranayama and what benefits it has?

What is  Bhastrika Pranayama? The word  Bhastrika comes from Sanskrit word “bhastrika” which  means “bellows”which was mostly used by blacksmiths to melt metal.   Bhastrika Pranayama  allows the flow of air into the body to produce heat at  physical  level – igniting the inner fire of mind  and body. W hen  Bhastrika Pranayama is done, more quantity of oxygen is pumped into the body . Bhastrika Pranayama is the process of rapid inhalation and exhalation which gives a uplift to the body and  so it is called the yogic breath of fire.
